“Follow your passion, be prepared to work hard and sacrifice, and, above all, don’t let anyone limit your dreams.” — Donovan Bailey

They’re one of your most powerful tools in the workplace, and every individual is automatically equipped with them: dreams. Dreams are inexhaustible source of creativity and innovation that can be harnessed for results and drive achievements.

Daydreaming is the art of detaching yourself from daily struggles and envisioning yourself somewhere else entirely. While the term often has negative connotations; studies have proven that daydreaming can make you more productive, confident and happy.

3 Reasons To Make Daydreaming Part Of Your Daily Routine

– Daydreaming IS working. It might not seem like it, but allowing your mind to drift away for a second encourages new creative connections and solutions to problems.

– You can decide on what you daydream about. Ever had the feeling you wanted to direct your own dreams? You can if you start daydreaming according to Jonathan Schooler, of the META (Memory Emotion Thought Awareness) Lab at the University of California Santa Barbara.

– You’ll become more empathetic, open-minded and understanding.  Daydreaming will help you imagine a different perspective.  It’ll change the way you interact with people and create opportunities for improved communication and connections in the workplace.
